Abstract:
Notes the results of a study of skeletons dating from 1729–1852, recovered from Christ Church, Spitalfields. Photon X-ray absorptiometry of the samples has indicated that women living in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries experienced less rapid bone loss after the menopause than is common in women living now.
