Abstract:
Brief note on a pilot study carried out by the Fortress Study Group for RCHME in the Holderness region designed to evaluate the problems involved in surveying Second World War archaeology. Over 300 sites, including a nineteenth century gun battery and a Thor missile site from the 1960s, were discovered. Many are under threat from coastal erosion. Data standards compatible with National Monuments Records for other sites have also been defined. Holroyd, Isabel
