Bolsover Castle, Bolsover, Derbyshire, report on geophysical survey, 1993

Author:
Abstract:
A geophysical survey was carried out in the walled garden with the hope of finding features related to a previous formal garden. Buried pipes were detected that were likely to have supplied water to the fountain at the centre of the garden, and to the adjacent Little Castle. In addition, a number of less distinct anomalies were identified that may represent the remains of the layout of a previous parterre.
