'The historical geographer works in a welter of terminological problems' through which this compilation is intended to provide a way. The broad classification followed is: social contract, settlement, open field landscape, beyond the arable, rural industry, enclosure, crops, animals and implements, cultivation, the farming community, and technical terms (regional, historical, legal and specialist). 70 pp bibliography.
