Abstract:
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken on behalf of Anglian Water, during the installation of a Raw Water Main, the watching brief was limited to the northern 1.1km of the route. Soil marks thought to represent ridge and furrow were recorded and were of medieval or post-medieval date. A metalled trackway and an enclosure of probable 17th century date were also revealed; they formed part of a much larger complex of features, visible on both sides of the pipeline easement. [Au(abr)]
