Abstract:
This was the seventh annual report on the Essex Mapping Project and set out progress between April 2000 and April 2001. The project was being carried out by Essex County Council, as part of the English Heritage Mapping Programme. Mapping over this year had concentrated on the central western part of the county. The 18 sheets mapped between April 2000 and the end of March 2001 brought the total number of sheets mapped for the project to 171. At the end of March 2001 the number of records on the MORPH database stood at 10255 with 765 individual records being added during the year. The same period saw the addition of over 180 new sites to the Essex Heritage Conservation Record. [Au(adp)]
