Abstract:
An archaeological watching brief revealed early prehistoric flint scatters, a Late Iron Age/early Romano-British cemetery and Romano-British agricultural activity. No archaeological deposit or features of early prehistoric date were recorded during the archaeological investigations. The archaeological features revealed during the excavations would appear to be both funerary and agricultural activities associated with the multi-phased settlement lying immediately to the east of the excavation area.
