Abstract:
Three test pits were dug during an evaluation prior to the construction of a new science building at Wells Cathedral School. The results confirm the antiquity of the lowest elements of the boundary walls and that buildings such as barns or out buildings were located alongside the wall, which dates to at least the twelfth century.
