Abstract:
An archaeological watching brief on intermittent topsoil stripping and excavation of foundation and service trenches was carried out at Glebe Land, Barnes Lane, Beaminster. Excavations were carried out by mechanical excavator. No archaeological features were observed but the presence of 19th-20th century field drains was noted. A number of sherds of post-medieval pottery were recovered, and the presence of other finds of late post-medieval date also noted. [Au(abr)]
