Abstract:
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during the excavation of foundations for an extension to the present building. A sequence of early modern construction and demolition layers, interspersed with gardening activity were found above a late medieval occupation layer sealing a feature of similar date. Late 19th / early 20th century cellaring was found adjacent to the existing building. [Au]
