Abstract:
An archaeological evaluation to assess the archaeological resource in an area of land which was related to known concentrations of prehistoric and Romano-British activity in the near vicinity. Three stages of fieldwork were undertaken; magnetometer survey, machine trenching and surface collection of artefacts. Three linear features and a rectilinear enclosure were located by the geophysical survey. Machine trenching found one of these features, the rest remained undiscovered. Overall, the evaluation found that the site contained a small number of undated linear features. [AIP]
