Abstract:
An archaeological desktop assessment of Quidhampton Quarry was carried out on behalf of English China Clays. The study comprised a limited desktop assessment and visits to Salisbury Museum, to investigate the extent and nature of the archaeological archive relating to quarrying operations in 1958. The available information was not found to be sufficient to further define the exact location or extent of an Iron Age settlement which had been identified. [Au(adp)]
