Abstract:
An archaeological evaluation, consisting of a single machine excavated trench, was undertaken in connection with the proposed construction of a hard surface vehicle track. The site passed some 100 metres to the west of the recorded western limit of a Scheduled Monument, known as Breach Hill, a Mid-Late Bronze Age earthwork. Despite the potential demonstrated by the surrounding features and earthworks, no archaeological remains were encountered, other than a small quantity of worked flint. [Au(adp)]
