Abstract:
Within an evaluation trench, a man-made bank of pale yellow river gravel was uncovered. Cut into and running parallel with the edge of this earthwork was a linear ditch and two rows of post holes. Although the fill contained very little in the way of finds to help date the feature it seems likely that the ditch was of a similar date to the gravel bank due to their corresponding alignments and produced several pieces of 13-14th century pottery.
