Abstract:
A bank and ditch feature, the boundary of the parishes of Shilbottle and Denwick was recorded in advance of improvements to the A1. The boundary ran on both sides of the road, but was only investigated on the west side. A single trench was excavated across the feature, and although this showed that the bank had been renewed and the ditches re-cut at some time in the past no dating evidence was found. [AIP]
