Abstract:
The works comprised gradiometer surveys over 40 areas totalling 37ha. No highly significant archaeological sites or remains were identified in the surveys. Potential archaeological remains were detected in 36 of the 40 survey areas. The remains included occasional ditches and pits, medieval ridge and furrow, former enclosed field systems and trackways, and possible hearths/kilns. Possible pit features were identified in many of the surveys; this interpretation was tentative, however, as the anomaly values were untypical high for soil-filled features. [Au(abr)]
