Abstract:
A watching brief was maintained during the excavation of geotechnical trial-pits prior to the planned widening of the A1(M) between Junctions 6 and 8. No archaeological features were observed, but areas of disturbance were identified in the vicinity of Junction 6. Modern disturbance along the remainder of the route was comparatively slight. AIP
