Abstract:
Both the palynological evidence and the cropmark evidence would suggest that there is the potential for previously unrecorded Prehistoric/Romano-British settlement and/or fieldsystem remains to occur within the area affected by the scheme. The potential would seem to be moderate as the northern part of the scheme crosses the 125m contour, wherre a significant number of enclosure sites have previously been found to lie on or close to.
