Assessment of the corridor of a proposed road scheme comprised a documentary survey and preliminary visual inspection. Sites identified along the route included curvilinear and rectilinear crop marks, an anti-aircraft battery site, a former brickworks, a 19th century road bridge, a number of post-medieval buildings, and a possible medieval occupation site.
