Abstract:
A watching brief revealed a cultivated soil and layers of gravel. Two features were observed within this gravel in the north-east and south-east corner of the excavated trenches, possibly associated with an earlier soil horizon immediately overlying the gravel. One of these features represented separate deposits such as pits or part of a ditch orientated north to south along the east edge of the garage area. [Au(abr)]
