Abstract:
Fieldwalking, geophysical survey and monitoring of test-pitting was undertaken to evaluate sites along the route of road development. In general the fieldwalking found little of significance, but two scatters of Roman material were deemed significant. Geophysical survey confirmed the archaeological nature of the aerial photographic sites identified in the earlier, desk based assessment.[AIP]
