Abstract:
A magnetometer and magnetic susceptibility survey produced results which strongly suggested the presence in the field of archaeological features associated with past occupation activity of a similar character to that seen in an adjacent excavation. The significance of the resistivity findings was more difficult to assess. The results may have represented a combination of archaeological disturbances together with natural variations in the depth or composition of the subsoil but, given the absence of identifiable intact features, interpretation was difficult.
