Abstract:
The fifth season of excavation saw the final investigation, recording and removal of the Georgian farm complex. Several fragments of stonework from the walls indicated the presence of an important medieval building or buildings at Wood Hall. Excavation and recording of a 30m length of moat to the north of the site was completed, revealing a series of pre-moat post holes, possibly forming two buildings. The entrance to the site was also investigated during the course of the season, and shown to be of several phases. AIP
