Abstract:
During excavations in a private garden the foundations of a brick built structure (1.5m x 0.7m) featuring two inner chambers were uncovered. The west chamber contained a drain with a mortar floor running into the east chamber via a lead sheet outflow. There was no water inlet and no evidence of the structure's purpose. Finds dated predominantly to the 20th century, and included two George V farthings. [Au(adp)]
