Abstract:
Whorlton Castle and its environs were surveyed at 1:1,000 to provide an analytical survey to help formulate a management plan for the castle and its surrounding fields. This followed earlier geophysical survey of the interior of the castle and select 1:50 survey of the castle gatehouse. The three main points of focus in the survey area were the church, the village and the castle of Whorlton. AIP
