Abstract:
Excavations were carried out in the rear room of a historic medieval timber-framed house as part of ongoing conservation/restoration work due to the very poor state of the building. The building had already been subject to other assessments and recording programmes. This excavation revealed two stone-lined water channels at the rear, thought to have been medieval in date and designed for the collection of water seepage. [AIP]
