Abstract:
The interior of the church was excavated in advance of proposed developments by the Parochial Church Council. It was possible to trace the architectural development of the church from its foundation, probably in the 11th century, through to the present day. 420 graves spanning a period of c.800 years were recorded and excavated. A wide range of artefacts including prehistoric flints, building materials, coffin furniture and textiles was recovered. [Au(abr)]
