Abstract:
An archaeological field name investigation was undertaken in order to obtain further information with regards to the archaeological nature of the land and the effect the proposed road works could have. The proposed road would cross fields, with names that indicated past human activity within the area. The 'Castle Hills' field was known about and backed up by the field names survey. All other names suggested human intervention but only in terms of agricultural practices. [Au(adp)]
