Users can create simple combined searches or create more advanced word searches using the following search options:

search builder

This is the easiest way to search biab online. For best results we recommend that you keep your searches as simple as possible. Only enter information in fields that you want to search on and the form will generate a search based on the fields you have entered.

keyword search builders

You can generate complex keyword searches using one of the keyword search builders.

proximity enabled search: this facility allows up to 4 words, phrases or word prefixes to be linked together in a search, including the facility to search for words near other words.

word form enabled search: this search allows up to 4 words to be linked including a facility to search for all forms of a word - eg "excavate" would find "excavate", "excavations", "excavates" etc

This site will look best in a browser that supports web standards, but is accessible to any browser or Internet device.
